Agile On The Beach

Back in 2011, Event Cornwall (now Mackerel Sky Events) was working with Oxford Innovation and Toby Parkins to set up the inaugural Agile on the Beach. They needed a brand identity to be created quickly with minimal budget – they approached MPAD and we rose to the challenge!
MPAD developed one simple concept. The AOTB brand is based on the four-strand Agile manifesto, and incorporates beach colours in a shell shape. In future years, we developed graphics and simple illustrations for the different tracks of the conference – eg software craftsmanship, business, teams etc.
We have since gone on to develop an Agile Brand Day as a product – where we workshop and develop brand identities in just one day for quick, low budget projects.
The brand has grown with the event. Now coming up to it’s sixth year, Agile on the Beach attracts 350 delegates and has been rated in the top 3 Agile conferences globally.
