Wow! We’re almost at the end of another year and it’s been a pretty epic so far (if you ignore that Brexit thing!).
Outside of MPAD HQ we’ve had snow and an amazing summer, while England reached the semi finals of the World Cup and Gareth Southgate made waistcoats great again!
Here’s a quick round-up of some of the amazing things we’ve been up to here at MPAD.
An on-going project working with Cornwall Food, which is part of the NHS, we developed a new name, brand, tone of voice and UX content.
The organisation aims to make food a key part of hospital care, and we’re providing them the material to help them reach more customers.
It’s been a full-on year supporting Blue Flame as the firm celebrated its 30th anniversary: birthday branding, videos and PR. We also helped them secure a Snow Hero commendation from Devon and Cornwall Police for the work the team did during the Beast from the East.
We also helped them win the Customer Service award at the Western Morning News Business Awards.
Working with Bodmin-based web builder specialist MacAce / WebMate we developed the 24 hour Web Buildathon to support small charities and community groups.
The firm delivered 19 sites in the 24 hours, as well as featured in Fundraising and Third Sector magazines.
We developed the Christmas fundraising campaign for the charity to help it raise vital funds towards building Cornwall’s first mental health facility for children and young adults.
We developed key messages, call to actions, graphics and animated gifs to drive the campaign.
Our award-winning success for clients continued in 2018. Of the seven award applications we wrote, five were shortlisted. Those five also happened to go on and win.
Leap in the Cornwall Business Awards and Western Morning News Business Awards; Blue Flame in the Devon and Cornwall Snow Heroes and Western Morning News Business Awards; and Precision Homes in the Cornwall Business Awards.
Those victories gave us a 71.43% win rate!
PKF Francis Clark charity events
Mark was asked to speak at four PKF Francis Clark charity conferences that were being held across the South in May 2018 – Buckfast Abbey in Devon; Monk’s Yard in Somerset; Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset; and Epiphany House in Cornwall.
Using our knowledge and experience of working with charities, Mark was asked to speak on communications and key messages.
The Year of UX
In October we launched our Year of UX. The campaign has the aim of supporting our clients to have more engagement, more customers, more revenue and more positive impact.
Part of the work that we have been doing over the last 12 months has been getting out and speaking to people and telling them about our process, as well as gathering feedback to allow us to refine.
We’re looking forward to working with more forward thinking clients that put their customers at the heart of what they do in 2019.
2019 will see us celebrate our 20thanniversary. Who can believe it’s been two decades since Mark started the business in a tiny office in Penryn with support from the Prince’s Trust.
We’re also going to spreading the word about our #YearofUX and the processes we have developed to create more engagement, more customers, more revenue and more positive impact.
