How we helped develop a website for one of Cornwall’s leading care charities to support user needs, as well as provide an easy platform for the team to update.
Cornwall Hospice Care provides specialist care for people with terminal illnesses. The charity wanted a new website after experiencing issues with managing its former site. The project needed to be completed quickly in order to meet a deadline to move it away from the former provider.
What we delivered
We ran an initial UX (user experience) workshop with the heads of the charity’s departments – care, fundraising, retail, IT and marketing. This allowed us to create a sitemap to focus on individual user journeys and allow the charity to provide the relevant information to the relevant audience. We used our UX process to develop a content plan and wireframes for testing before we designed and built the site.
We facilitated a UX content workshop to gather landing page content to allow us to build the wireframes. It also allowed us to train the marketing team, which had capability and capacity, how to generate UX content that delivered results.
Working with the team at MPAD we developed a new website that is the envy of many other hospice charities. They quickly understood what we needed and guided us through a process that has ultimately given us a site that reflects all aspects of our charity and gives us full control of all content.
