A Guide to Pinterest for Charities | Vlog: Renewable Energy Marketplace

  • Spectrum is a Cornwall-based, national facing charity supporting adults and children with autism spectrum disorders. The charity approached MPAD to design and develop a new website.

Strategy: A mobile and tablet-responsive website that’s primary audience is parents who may be searching for information about autism, often late at night! A secondary audience was professionals who work with autism, and therefore the website needed to provide layers of information from basic to in-depth.

Delivery: MPAD project managed, designed and collated content including pictures and copy for the website, which has a WordPress-based content management system. We collaborated with our web development partners Digital Web Media. It was designed following design guidelines for autistic users, with options to change font-size and colour to ensure a clean, uncluttered website that’s “low arousal”. The website also showcases a series of animated films about people who Spectrum support, and their experiences living with autism.

Impact: An easy to use content management system that enables charity staff to manage their own content.
