The idea to create a specifically designed and printed newsletter was a new venture for the charity as it had traditionally produced its own material in house. Often publications or newsletters would be basic photocopied documents.
MPAD’s brief was to create a publication that can communicate the charity’s message effectively to older people, carers, Age Concern staff, as well as key stakeholders. As well as copywriting the newsletter, MPAD created the initial design, commissioned photography and arranged print production and delivery.
The design was bright and bold using various colours to represent the personalities that the various articles featured, the typeface and layout needed to be clear and easy to read. The newsletter featured heavily on photography, which brought an uplifting and positive feel.
