Rachel Picken Director / PR Consultant

After starting out as a hack having worked as business editor and news reporter at the West Briton, based in the paper’s Truro head office, Rachel moved to the dark side in October 2006.

She then joined husband Mark at MPAD in October 2007 where she has developed a reputation and strong track-record in media relations, as well as working with clients in private, public and charity sectors.

As the longest standing committee member of the Hub, Rachel also mentors for Unlocking Cornish Potential. She was runner up in the Young Businesswoman of the Year category at the Cornwall Women of Achievement Award in 2007 and in the Young Business Person of the Year category at the Cornwall Business Awards in 2009.

Married to fellow director, Mark, the couple celebrated the arrival of their first child, Olivia, in July 2010.
