A planning application to convert disused premises at Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes into a fishmongers and Fish and Chip shop has been given the green light.
Lewsey Lou’s promises to bring fresh, quality Cornish fish and chips to the beach end of the village.
Landlady of the Driftwood Spars Louise Treseder, who is behind the project said; “We are really excited to be opening Lewsey Lou’s in a matter of weeks. It suddenly feels very real now.
“Fish and chips on the beach is a quintessentially British tradition and there is nothing down this end of the village that caters for the take-away market.
“We are passionate about the local community and our plan is to serve fresh, locally caught fish with Cornish potatoes.”
In addition to Fish and Chips, Lewsey Lou’s will be offering healthier choices including new potatoes as well as being a traditional fishmonger with locally caught wet fish on offer.
Louise’s business partner in the venture is England Rugby star and St Agnes resident Josh Lewsey who said; “As Lou says, it is very early days, but I am delighted to hear that the local community are behind another ethical business in St Agnes.”
Lewsey Lou’s is looking to recruit staff who are as passionate about fish and chips as they are.
